Adult Ed/Spiritual life will feature a series for four Sundays in June called "Searching for a Pastor the Presbyterian Way," led by Meagan Manas, Paul Mowry, Nancy Talbot, Sarah Wiles, who have graduated seminary and are seeking ordination through the Presbyterian church.
Continuation of Pastoral Search Process. Watch for information from the Church-Wide Nominating Committee (CWNC) about the formation of a new Pastoral Nominating Committee. Also watch for information about opportunities to give your input about your vision of the church and what you are seeking in a pastor. This will not be a repeat of the Mission Review process, but an effort to fine-tune the process, in order to guide the work of the new PNC and in light of additional insights gained through the first leg of the pastoral search.
STEPPING UP to SERVE and LEAD. Please consider how you can heal and affirm the work of the church community and to reach out in love to each other and the world through volunteering your time in the coming months as we begin a new phase of transition. We have many ministries that need organizers, regular and occasional volunteers. We will be sending a dedicated email about volunteer opportunities and contact information of their organizers next week. Sign up as soon as you can and face our challenge and the Spirit's calling of us into greater authenticity as a community of faith with the act of love for "love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Cor. 13:7).
