Get Your Spook On: An Evening of Macabre Masterpieces, on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Join organists Wil Smith and Meghann Wilhoite with special guests for an evening of creepy classics, including Bach's bone-chilling Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor. Accompanying the music in a dark FPC sanctuary will be spooky images projected directly onto the pipes by a live video artist. Not to be missed!

THIS SUNDAY, November 1:

"Fall Back" – Remember to set your clocks back one hour. Also Sunday Nov. 1 is the NYC Marathon and many streets will be blocked. Plan to get to church by subway!

Rev. Stephen Phelps, our Interim Pastor will preach a sermon titled: "It's About Time." Rev. Phelps hails from the Northern Hudson Valley, was educated at Yale and has worked with nationally recognized community development projects. Rev Phelps has served as pastor to Presbyterian congregations for more than twenty years. We welcome him and look forward to this time with him.

Service will be followed by a special coffee hour hosted by the committee chairs. Please plan to attend to give him a warm FPC welcome!

The nursery will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Christina and Patty are excited to welcome your kids.

10 o' Clock Hour. Please join David Mullé in the Thurman Room for 10 o'Clock Hour for Bible study on Isaiah.

Associate Pastor Update

Rev. Beth continues to be on bedrest, taking it one day at a time. She sends her gratitude for your prayers; she and her family are buoyed by the encouragement and support. She says Ephesians 3:14-21 has become a daily mantra. From verse 20 (NIV): "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." Please continue to remember Beth and her family in your prayers. Cards will be forwarded to her, please leave them in Edna's mailbox, or that of the Administrator.

Tuesday Tea is always served the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Elliott Room. Hope to see you on Nov.10 for our next "tea with talk." For more information, contact Linda Kolts at 718-855-1206

Budget Saturday, Nov. 14. All Session members and Committee chairs should attend this gathering to prepare the 2010 Budget. We'll meet at the home of Richard and Diane Greene, 212 St. Johns Place, Brooklyn, NY 11217, from 8 to 11 a.m. (Breakfast will be provided.) Food Pantry: We still need volunteers to receive food from the CSA on Wednesday evenings for next five weeks. Arrive about 7:30 p.m. and wait for CSA volunteers to bring produce. Place on tables in the Narthex for distribution to the Food Pantry clients on Thursday. See Linda Kolts or call her at 718-855-1206. Our guarantee: You will feel good about your participation in helping the Food Pantry.
