AT FPC: New member classes begin this week; Lenten Bible study is off to a rolli

THIS SUNDAY, March 8:

At 11 a.m., Dr. Cari Jackson, interim senior pastor, will preach a sermon title: "Faith Against the Odds."

 

The nursery will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

 

The 10 o' Clock Hour continues with a discussion of "Reflection on the Lord's Prayer: A Lenten Study" with David Mullé, leader.

 

March FPC Membership Class begins March 8 and continues on March 15, and 22 at 10 a.m. (Please note only members can participate in the upcoming vote for the new pastor.) Contact Peggy Swisher Slowik at peggyswisher@gmail.com to confirm attendance. 

 

Couplehood as Spiritual Path (6 Weeks), an educational interfaith discussion series will be offered starting March 8h from 5-6:30 p.m. in Thurman Room.  Co-operative childcare provided in gym.  For more information, Contact bethfpc@aol.com to RSVP.  $40 materials fee.

Weekly Vesper Service and Bible Study., Enter the season of Lent with an expectation experiencing the Christ within you in new ways. Services begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by Bible study at 7 p.m., in the Elliott Room. The illuminating, thought-provoking study, led by Rev. Cari Jackson, is based on the story of Joseph. (Rev. Cari had to shut the lights out to make everyone leave last week.)

 

Weekly Yoga Classes on Saturdays at at 1 p.m. in the Elliott Room begin March 7. Drop-ins to individual classes are welcome. Open to the community. Suggested donation of $12 per class. For details, contact yoga instructor Maria Cutrona at maria@jamarts.com.
