AT FPC: Nate Dudley to preach, a boost for the Food Pantry

A weekly e-newsletter of First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn:

THIS SUNDAY, March 29:

At 11 a.m. Sunday Service, Elder Nate Dudley, will preach a sermon titled "Faith in Our Age Of Excess." Nate is the founding principal of the Urban Assembly NY Harbor School, a six-year-old small maritime public high school in Bushwick, which focuses on experiential education on the water. Nate joined First Presbyterian Church about 14 years ago and has served as an elder on the session and as a member of the Social Action Committee. Nate lives in Brooklyn with his wife Stephanie, and their daughters Emerson and Jillian.

The nursery will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The 10 o' Clock Hour continues with a discussion of "Reflection on the Lord's Prayer: A Lenten Study" with David Mullé, leader.

Couplehood as Spiritual Path: Thurman Room, 5 to 6:30 p.m., facilitated by Barbara and Jim Cummings. The group is at capacity, but if you are interested in starting or joining another group in the future, please contact Rev. Beth at bethfpc@aol.com.

Other News:

"Memory Catcher" for Rev. Cari: There is a gold journal in the Narthex, placed there for us to write notes or tuck in photographs for Rev. Cari as we prepare for her departure. Cari's last day in the pulpit is May 3. It's hard to let her go, but showing Cari how much she has meant to us, and how she's helped shape our lives and faith will make it feel a little better.
